a new baby for my cousin...harvey
+ i finally got round to making him something
(from this book :: pattern by the wonderful hillary lang)
for some reason i had some trouble putting this little elephant together. my friday brain couldn't compute the instructions...but i kept going + i'm really pleased with how he turned out + c actually commented on him...he never usually notices what i'm making! now i've made my 1st softy i think i could get quite hooked + even have a go at my own design.
h is also for...hanging the washing outside (at last!)for we have sunshine
dare i say it even feels a wee bit spring-like!

The elephant is so adorable. I've been wanting to make him but just haven't done it yet. Love the added french knots for the monogram...really cute.
Congratulations! And the elephant is gorgeous. I absolutely love that book and find the pictures so inspiring...but I get slightly lost with the instructions in a way that I don't with some others (Amy Butler's for example). However, it was obviously worth persevering as it's lovely! x
That elephant is so cute! and hasn't it just been the most gorgeous day - I swept my Nan's patio for most of the morning, which was surprisingly enjoyable!. I have a sewing lesson tomorrow (eek). Wish me luck - I can only aspire to some of the projects I have seen recently

Hasn't the weather been glorious, I have spent the weekend wandering around, smiling at strangers & thinking isn't the world a wonderful place, amazing what a bit of sun can do! THat elephant is adorable, thats one lucky baby.

I LOVE your little Ellie...you should definately make some more softies!! The fabric is lovely and i really like its chunkiness. If you are thinking for a name for the elephant, i vote Hamilton :)
